As I promised, here is FireTune, the author of FireTune use 100% settings according to what I described on my first post.It's not mine, I just review what things that FireTune did when we use it.It has an extra functions that might be useful to you.
This software been released before Firefox 3.0.6. So, you have to manually change only one value in about:config that have been improved in Firefox 3.0.6.

How to use
FireTune is very easy to use. The only thing you need to do is to create a backup of your current Firefox configuration file (you can do that easily with FireTune's backup feature), then make your selection from the available tuning options. FireTune will optimize Firefox according to your selections when you click the 'Tune it!' button.
1. Download and unzip the package, it's portable so you can run from any removeable drives.
2. Open the extracted folder and double click the FireTune.exe icon to run it.If you are using Windows Vista just 'run as administrator'
3. Close FireFox
4. Click 'Create backup of configuration' tab.It's important, somehow you want to revert to default.
5. After creating a backup of your configuration file, make your section from the available optimization settings. For details on the different options, please check my first post.
6. Click the 'Tune it!' button
7. FireTune will then optimize the Firefox configuration file according to your selections from the option list. Once the optimization is done, you may restart Firefox.
8. Type about:config in address bar and hit enter.Accept the agreement and scroll down until you find network.http.max-connections-per-server .Change the value by right click it, choose modify and put the value 24
9. Restart Firefox
After you optimized Firefox, you can test it (please refer first post).Make sure you restart Firefox for each optimization that you've made to take effect.
FireTune compatible with Mozilla Firefox v1.x/2.x/3.x, Windows 98, Me, 2000, 2003, XP SP1 (or higher), Vista and also Windows 7.
