Abduction! - Take Screenshots Much Easier In Firefox

To take a web page screenshots, users normally had to installed a screen capture applications such as WinSnap or Snagit into their computer. To have a good screen capture programs, you need to use a commercial one but of course you have to buy it. There are some free programs available but with a limited of functions, it does not give you any satisfactions.

Even with the best screen capture programs installed in your computer, when you're found something that interested you while browsing the website/s and want to take a screenshot, you need to launch that program, set it up and a few things has to do before you get that shots. How about just do a right click, drag and drop and save the image as easy as 1 2 3 ....

Rowan Lewis has developed an add-on for Firefox called 'Abduction!' a right click option to take screenshot of an entire web page or just part of a web page to save as an image.

Resolving Google Update Installation Failed With Error 0x8004071c

Installing Google Chrome is very easy, only takes a few seconds to complete and it seems like Chrome installer is not going to give us any difficulties or errors during installation. But, it has. Some users had encountered a problem when installing Google Chrome that an error box appeared with the error code "Google Update Installation Failed With Error 0x8004071c".

Did you think that error came up because of a bad coded Chrome installer? No, it is not. The error occurs because your computer is currently in Windows Audit Mode and is conflicting with the installation.

When Windows is running in audit mode on a portable computer, that means the NUM LOCK key is always turned on. Users that perform an unattended installation of Windows usually initiated the Audit Mode.
This error also appeared in other installations of Google product such as Google Earth, Google Desktop and etc.. I'm using Google Chrome for an example in this article because it is a widely used application from Google nowadays. Use the following method to fix it, it is the same related error.
Here is a workaround on solving the issues:

Why Page Load Error Occurs Often In Google Chrome?

I experienced some difficulty to access several websites using Google Chrome, this problem does not occur in Firefox even those websites are normally accessible.

The error are varies, sometimes page load error and sometimes page not loading directly, just stuck on a white/blank page and 'Resolving Host' shown at the bottom left in Chrome. Nothing happened, just stuck there.

Thanks to MyDigitalLife that came up with a solution, it appears that the 'DNS Prefetching' in Google Chrome need to be fixed. Although the function of DNS Prefetching is to provide the best performance when loading pages, but it may be due to a buggy coding in Chrome, those problems occured.

To disable DNS Prefetching in Chrome is quite simple:

Resolving Update Server Not Available (Error: 3) In Google Chrome

In the early launch of Google Chrome, I have use it for a while and found that this new web browser from Google had a nice and smooth interface and also quite fast. But my heart was on Mozilla Firefox and still now, so I left Google Chrome behind.

From time to time I read about the development of Google Chrome, it appears that Google has working hard to make Chrome as a great web browser. Updates are available so often, about three or four times in a month, from there we can see the continued efforts from Google. So, this made me interested to install and use Chrome for the second time.

As usual, Chrome installation is quite easy, not write anything in Program Files and only a few data in Registry. All Chrome files and folders are placed at users AppData folder. The first thing I did after launching Chrome is checking the version.

Launch Chrome > click on wrench icon at the top right of Chrome page > click at 'About Google Chrome' and I got 'Update server not available (error: 3)' written in 'About' box. Since the update for Chrome issued regularly, automatic update is indispensable.

So, here's why that error came up and how to fix it:
