Abduction! - Take Screenshots Much Easier In Firefox



To take a web page screenshots, users normally had to installed a screen capture applications such as WinSnap or Snagit into their computer. To have a good screen capture programs, you need to use a commercial one but of course you have to buy it. There are some free programs available but with a limited of functions, it does not give you any satisfactions.

Even with the best screen capture programs installed in your computer, when you're found something that interested you while browsing the website/s and want to take a screenshot, you need to launch that program, set it up and a few things has to do before you get that shots. How about just do a right click, drag and drop and save the image as easy as 1 2 3 ....

Rowan Lewis has developed an add-on for Firefox called 'Abduction!' a right click option to take screenshot of an entire web page or just part of a web page to save as an image.

To use it is simple, install Abduction! and restart Firefox, right click anywhere at the web page, select 'Save Page As Image...', you will notice that the entire web page will be 'shaded over' and there will be a 'yellow area' where you right clicked. The 'yellow area' is a starting point for whatever type of screenshot you wish to take. You will also see a temporary 'toolbar' at the top of the web page with a 'Save Button'.

If you double click the 'yellow area', then click the 'Save Button', it will saved the entire page.

If you want to save only a certain part of the web page, just hover a mouse pointer to the 'yellow area' border and drag the border to which part that you wish to take a shot, click the 'Save Button' to save that part as image.

You can also drag the 'yellow area' and drop it to which part of the page you want to save.



The images will be saved in a .png format. Just play around with Abduction!, various interesting features you will discovered.
